My favourite cricket team is the Sri Lanka cricket team. It won two World Cup matches. They are the 1996 World Cup and 2014 T20 World Cup. Arjuna Ranathunga was the captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team when we won the World Cup in 1996. Lasith Malinga captained the team when the 2014 T20 World Cup was won. The final match of the 1996 World Cup was played between Sri Lanka and Australia in Lahore, Pakistan. The final match of the 2014 T20 World Cup was played between Sri Lanka and India in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Sri Lankan cricket team became runners-up in some World Cup finals.
It is a great achievement that the Sri Lankan cricket team won several tests, one-day internationals and T20s. The Sri Lankan cricket team is one of the teams that has earned the respect of many countries. I hope that the Sri Lankan cricket team will get many more wins in International World Cups, One-day Internationals, Tests and T20s. I also hope that many more good players will join the team and make it the World’s No. 1 team. I love my favourite cricket team very much.
