Seven-month-old Methika Sanul Manhiru of No. 191, Abhayapura, Trincomalee, is suffering from a chronic liver ailment, following a bout of cholestatic jaundice at the age of two months. Consultant Paediatrician, District General Hospital, Trincomalee, Dr. Viduranga Seram has recommended liver transplant.
The surgery to be performed in India is estimated to cost around Indian Rs. 2,446,000.
The child’s father cannot find the means and hence appeals to the generous public for help.
