Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga landed in Jaffna yesterday on a two-day visit which coincides in part with Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera’s tour of the Northern Province.
President Kumaratunga, who is the Chairperson of the Office of National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR) is in Jaffna to inaugurate and review the progress of ONUR’s livelihood and infrastructure programs in the region which predominantly target assistance for women-headed households.
