Water is a colourless liquid which is Mother Nature’s precious gift to mankind. It covers about 75% of the Earth’s surface. Pure water has no colour, smell, taste or shape. Water has three states known as liquid, solid and gas. River water belongs to the liquid state, Arctic and Antarctic areas belong to the solid state and steam belongs to the gaseous state of water.
