A delegation of youth parliamentarians from Finland, on a visit to Sri Lanka, met the members of Sri Lanka Youth for Democracy (SLYD) in Colombo on Friday to learn and share experiences of youth in politics in both countries. The meeting, at the Pegasus Reef hotel, was hosted by the One Text Initiative Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Finnish organization, Demo Finland. The focus of the three-day program was the strengthening of democracy in a society with diverse views and social groups, according to a One Text news release. The SLYD is a movement fostering harmony, friendship and good relations within and beyond borders.
