Gospel concert : ‘Voices of Praise’ today

3 September, 2017

‘Voices of Praise’ is a concert with a difference featuring a host of Sri Lanka’s top entertainers. This is the first time that a gospel concert will highlight singers in Sri Lanka’s music firmament.

The show includes Corrine, Rukshan, Geoffrey, Ricky, Noeline, Sunil, Piyal, Shanelle, Ronnie, Yasmin, and others, and also features a trio of brilliant gospel singers Aanjanee, Roshie, and Melanie.

All the featured artistes will move away from their regular brand of pop music and lend their talents to gospel singing, which will make ‘Voices of Praise’ an unusual and memorable experience.

Another highlight of the show will be a singalong session of gospel songs with the stars.

The band providing musical accompaniment is led by Chandral Fonseka, the leader of ‘Kings’ and features Ranil Vaz (Guitar) Viraj Perera Rajanathan (Keyboards), and Roshan de Silva (Drums).

‘Voices of Praise’ has been organised by the Sri Lankan arm of Haggai International, which is a global, non-denominational Christian Ministry with the vision of training leaders in developing countries.

‘Voices of Praise’ the Gospel Concert with a difference will take the stage today, Sunday the 3rd of September at Ladies College Auditorium, Colombo, commencing at 7 p.m.

Tickets are on sale at Otter Aquatic Club, Bible Society Colombo 3, People’s Church Bookshop Narahenpita, Thai Boulevard Colombo 3, and Calvary Centre Bookshop, Jaela.
