The story line of ‘A run in the Meadow’ by Cece Brown is set around a family living in a farm on the country side in England. The story revolves around Jordan, a mischievous seven-year-old boy, his cute little sister aged five and their pet Shetland pony Kaila and Blackie their adorable Collie.
Every weekend they set out on “A Run in The Meadow” after their chores are done, as a practice they gaze out to the far distance from the edge of the fence and often wonder what goes on beyond.
While having a wonderful time together. One fine day the inseparable foursome spontaneously embark on an adventure to see what is happening in the outside world. They end up getting into mischief at the local market.
They spend most of the day by the riverside enjoying the goodies and each others’ company, blissful of the passing time. Meanwhile their parents are searching for them frantically and finally send out a search party into town to look for the missing foursome.
“I set out on this journey to write during the lockdown period during Covid. Although I always had a passion for writing it came into fruition during the lockdown period as I was at home most times like everyone else and there was plenty of time on my hands. The interest was fuelled by an international writing contest which I saw on Facebook. There were different categories to write on. Thus I wrote my first fictional romantic novel (A Transgression) named “Luv In Flight” . This book is yet to be published,” said Brown.
