You Season 3: Release Date, New Teaser Trailer, and More

12 September, 2021

You season 3 is officially on the horizon with a release date and a teaser trailer that hints at what newlyweds Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn are getting up to after last season’s tumultuous finale.

In the new teaser, Joe (Penn Badgley) narrates a monologue about deciding on a name for their newborn baby, a son. “People these days will name their kids anything to get attention, and despite your mother’s background, and your Glamma’a determination to refer to you as Forty reincarnated, I know better,” Joe begins, referring to the death of Love’s (Victoria Pedretti) twin brother Forty at the Anavrin grocery story in Season 2.

He continues, “A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of a mini me was purely exciting — and not without challenges. Let’s just say I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do. But for you, I can change. I’ll be a man you look up to. A man you will be proud to call Dad. So, what to call you? A name that’s strong but not intimidating, classic but not basic. Literary, of course, because you’ll grow up in a house full of books. Henry. Choosing your name is the first of a lifetime of decisions I’ll make to give you the best life possible, to protect you, to shape who you will become. Who are you going to be, Henry?”

Welcome to the world, Henry Quinn-Goldberg. We can only imagine how Joe and Love are going to navigate parenthood in the third season — though it’s safe to say there will be plenty of murder once again. (Showrunner Sera Gamble has already said the episodes are “f*cking bonkers.”) You season 3 is slated for a Netflix release date on October 15, 2021.
