Aingaran Wigneswaran’s “Sivagurunathan in Sri Lankan Journalism “ book launching ceremony was held at the Tamil Sangam Sankarapillai Hall, Wellawate, Colombo on July 16.
It was organised by Kalashuri Sivagurunathan Memorial Committee to mark the 20th anniversary of former ANCL Thinakaran Chief Editor late Kalashuri E. Sivagurunathan. The book launching ceremony was held under the patronage of Chief Editor of the Thinakaran and Thinakaran Varamanjari T. Senthil Velavar.
Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Advisor Hassim Omar received the maiden copy of the book from the Chief Guest, Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) Director Editorial Sisira Paranatantrie at the ceremony.
President Colombo Tamil Sangam Nadarajar Kandeepan, Ganam Magazine Chief Editor T. Ganasekeran, A.M. Nehiya, Former Additional Secretary, Ministry of Education, Thillai S. Nadaraja and Murugapupathi also addressed the gathering.
Rev. Chandru Fernando, Dr. Shiva Shri Babu Sharma Ramachandran Kurukkal, including large number of journalists, authors and artists were present.
