Yukthi Badminton Academy and Ramesh Badminton Academy clinched the Men’s and Women’s A Division titles respectively at the Inter-Club Championships which saw over 500 participants in action during the weekend.
Yukthi BA also clinched the Boys’ U-19 title while Ramesh BA won the Girls’ U-19 Championship.
The Boys’ U-15 title was won by Danushka BA while the Girls’ title in the same age group was won by Ramesh BA.
Organized by the Western Province Badminton Association, the Championship was held at St. Joseph’s College and Mercantile Services Badminton courts with shuttlers from 48 private badminton clubs taking part.
The prize-giving ceremony was held under the patronage of Sameera Liyanage, Chief Marketing Officer of the Bank of Ceylon in the presence of officials of the Western Province Badminton Association and Sri Lanka Badminton.
