As many as 520 teams will contest the Under-15 division III schools cricket tournament scheduled to start next week conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.
Lyceum International School Wattala emerged champions last season and Maris Stella College Thimbirigaskatuwa finished as runners-up.
First round matches (more than 1200 matches) will be played on league basis in 94 groups and finish on or before June 27. The top two teams will be selected from each group and moved to the second round.
Matches from the second round onwards will be played on a knock-out basis.
