A German magazine, by the name ‘Die Aktuelle’ published an AI generated interview on 15 April, where the AI has generated Michael Schumacher’s responses in an alleged interview that took place with the retired F1 champion. In light of this misleading article, international media, including Reuters has reported that Schumacher’s family is looking to take legal action against the said magazine.
It should be noted that this incident raises questions regarding media ethics and reporting in light of the age of the Artificial intelligence.
Michael Schumacher is a seven-time formular one winner, a legend in F1. He has remained out of the public eye since a skiing accident in year 2013 that left him with severe head injuries, details of which has remained a secret due to privacy concerns of the Schumacher and his family.
