In a special search operation carried out yesterday (02 April) in the sea area around Welipara, Thalaimannarm , the Sri Lanka Navy has taken into custody a massive amount of Crystal Methamphetamine floating in the sea weighing more than 04 kg (wet weight). Operation was carried out by SLNS Thammanna in the North Central Naval Command.
One bag contained has 4 parcels of Ice (Crystal Methamphetamine).
It is believed that the estimated value of this stock of ice drugs is over 67.5 million rupees.
