Finance State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya yesterday said that 53 percent of bills which were outstanding when the new government came into power, have been settled.
He said that it is a positive sign that the government has succeeded in settling more than 50 percent of bills with five months.
The State Minister said that the country had outstanding bills to the tune of Rs.360 billion and Rs.191 billion of them have already been settled. Siyabalapitiya added that the bills amounting to Rs.169 billion are to be settled
