A beach cleaning campaign was organised by Army personnel of the Kurukkalmadam, Batticaloa Army camp at the Kattankudy beach recently. Degradable and non-degradable garbage were collected separately and given to the Batticaloa solid waste collectors of the Kattankudy Urban Council.
