Annesley Xavier was a tower of strength to the Old Bens hockey team during their triumphant years.
A right half full of ideas, he started many moves which resulted in goals.
He represented the Mercantile HA at the National Championships from 1973 to 1978 and captained the winning team in 1979, and the Colombo HA in 1980.
