On the evening of September 3, Saturday, Maarya Rehman, Country Director of the British Council invited Ashok Ferrey to an evening of readings from his new book ‘The Unmarriageable Man’, which just won the Gratiaen Prize.
The event was open to all members of the library. In turns hilarious and deeply moving, Ashok read to a packed audience of Colombo literati, authors, poets, artists and musicians – and just about every foreign envoy in town.
