The long overdue Grade Five scholarship examination was held islandwide yesterday. Our staff photographer Ranjith Asanka captured this picture at one of the school exam centres in Colombo where young students were lined up to be taken to the exam halls. However, Covid-19 social distancing norms were observed more in the breach. The Government has taken painstaking and costly efforts to keep its citizens safe. Thus, it’s time the school authorities take serious note of the health guidelines to ensure new Covid-19 clusters are not created.
