Pakistan has approved AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine for emergency use, the Health Minister of Pakistan said on Saturday.
It is the first coronavirus vaccine to be approved by a South Asian Country.
“We are in the process to obtain Western origin and other vaccines both via bilateral purchase agreements as well as via the COVAX facility.” said Faisal Sultan, the Health Minister.
Pakistan has also given approval to get more than a million doses of Sinopharm’s vaccine from China.
