Showers or thundershowers will occur in Northern, Eastern, North-central and Uva provinces and in Hambanthota district, stated the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 p.m.
Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Western provinces.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
