India becomes the latest country to detect new coronavirus strain which was discovered in UK.
Six patients were identified with the new variant of coronavirus who were returnees from the UK. They were in isolation, Indian officials said on Tuesday.
Last week, India was among the countries that banned UK fights. It is due to the speedy transmissibility of new variant of the virus.
India has the second highest number of Covid-19 cases according to the Johns Hopkins University.
