Kalutara lawyers to refrain from judicial work

Lawyers will not participate in judicial work at the Kalutara courts from tomorrow till November 6 due to the Covid-19 threat, the President of the Kalutara Bar Association, Attorney-at-law Dickson Punchihewa said.

This decision was taken to safeguard the lawyers, litigants, judges and the Court staff. The Kalutara district is under threat of Covid-19 virus and five villages have been locked down and many patients had been found. He appealed to the public to be vigilant. The decision of the Bar Association had been notified to the Judges and the Registrar of the Courts.
