The Sri Lanka Gymnastics Association is in the process of recommencing National pool practices with an eye on the Asian Gymnastic championship that was to be held in Japan in May but postponed for a later date.
The newly elected National gymnastics body is currently headed by Kokila Kaluarachchi who took over the reins in March before the coronavirus pandemic but could not draw up a work schedule. They have also given thought to conducting the National championship in December.
Kaluarachchi has also written to the Sports Minister seeking financial assistance for some of their coaches affected by the coronavirus lockdown.(DR)
