I rescued this malnourished dog from Peliyagoda and boarded him with a vet clinic for treatment. The good news is that after various tests had been performed, the vets discovered that except for a urine infection and severe malnourishment, Mal’s internal organs were not affected and that he had no other ailments/illnesses. His urine infection has been treated and Mal has gained weight. But despite settling vet bills, the outstanding bill for Mal has exceeded over Rs. 40,000/- now and I cannot afford to continue boarding him. Mal is very peaceful and is not aggressive at all. He has been vaccinated and dewormed. I’m unable to adopt him as I already have eight rescued dogs at home and I live on rent. I desperately hope that this article will help Mal find a foster/ or a forever home as I need to find him a place soon so that I can save funds for Happy, another weak dog with a rash that I rescued and needs vet treatment urgently.
