About 10 kilograms of Kerala Cannabis were recovered during a raid by the Navy in coordination with the Police at Konnayan Kudiyruppu in Mannar yesterday morning.
The Navy conducted a drug preventive operation in coordination with Police Division Vice Squad-Mannar. During the raid, a suspicious motorcycle stopped by the roadside at Konnayan Kudiyruppu had been observed by the Navy and about 10kg of Kerala Cannabis packed in a sack were recovered.
Cannabis was packed in five parcels. The motorcycle along with the seized stock of Cannabis was handed over to Mannar Police for further investigations.
