Shine like a pearl

24 November, 2019

 When I walk the streets, I walk on my right;
When I drive, I drive on the left.
When I talk, my subject is the right;
When I work, my hand chooses the best!
I always think not of my own interests;
I never shove myself in front of the others.
I opt not to hurt or damage others’ crests;
I often let others pass, and preen my feathers!
My presence I’d make a pleasant sight;
My absence for others be a regrets’ cause.
My happiness shouldn’t be the others’ plight;
My gains must ever remain within the laws!
Then I can be a being devoid of craving;
Then you’ll be able to trust me as an equal.
Then we are sure to shed fears of hating;
Then only our land will shine like a pearl!
