Colombo International School (CIS) are favoured to defend the NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf title when the tournament gets underway at the Colombo Royal Golf Club course on October 25.
The Event is open to all registered National, Private or International Schools in Sri Lanka for the second consecutive year.
The schools tournament, an initiative of Sri Lanka Golf with NDB Wealth, is to encourage better representation and participation. Registrations are currently underway.
The team event will consist of two players under the age of 18 years and below (Senior Division) and under-12 years (Junior Division). A school can field more than one team and team pairings can be two girls, two boys or one girl and one boy where all will play 18 holes.
At last year’s tournament Reshan Algama and K Tejwani of Colombo International School won the School Team event, with Reshan Algama bagging the overall winner title. Vinod Weerasinghe and Taniya Balasuriya topped the senior boys and senior girls categories respectively while Reshan Algama and Kaya Daluwatte secured the junior boys and junior girls categories.
