The final of the Pot Black one frame snooker tournament in connection with the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Moors Islamic Cultural Home (MICH) will be held today at 4.30 pm at Pasha Villa, Dematagoda in Colombo.
The MICH produced the first world champion of the country in MJM Lafir who excelled in billiards.
Omar Kamil, president of the MICH will grace the tournament as chief guest and the guest of honour will be the president of the Billiards and Snooker Association Noor Zulsky Passela.
Lafir won the World Amateur Billiards Championship, held in Bombay in 1973 defeating rivals from Wales, India, Scotland, England, New Zealand and Australia.
