Trinity College scored eight tries to beat Science College 50-20 in their fifth first round inter school League rugby match at Pallekele yesterday.
It was Science College who first scored soon after the kick off, but failed to keep it up.
Trinity College who were smarting from the last week’s beating sprang to life in the game to thump Science College with a good display as they ironed out most of their weak points.
Though Science College went down they had a brilliant first quarter of the game that saw them posses the ball in the opening fifteen minutes to outplay Trinity.
However, Trinity found their rhythm and took control of the game as Science College had very little possession in the second half.
Trinity’s tries came from Harsha Samarasinghe (two), K. Kulatunge, Trevin Karunanayake, A.Kulatunga, Thidas Thanthirige, Yashwanth Macan and Minidu Jayasundara while the goal kicing was done by Reshan Bandaranayake, Minidu Jayasundara and Miranga Subasinghe.
For Science M.D. Kalara , N.Kavindra and D. Mudalige scored tries while the goal kicking was done by Akash Madushanka.
