Unkind treatment of nature;
Torrential rains, storms, droughts,
Makes helpless hearts heavy
Misbehaviour of some elderly;
Unlawful, rude, vulgar,
Makes lawful hearts heavy
Indecent nature of the young;
Adamant, quarrelsome, noisy,
Makes solemn hearts heavy
Sensitive reaction of many
At others’ pain and distress
Relieves heavy hearts
Through wet eyes.
