Arshad Jamaldeen, Kandy Sports Club’s fly-half, has been medically advised by doctors to keep away from rugby for one month as he recovers from a motor accident.
Jamaldeen was hit by a three-wheeler as he rode his motorcycle in Katugastota early this week.
A club official said that it was very likely that Jamaldeen will have to sit out the second round matches which start on Friday as he needs time to recover. Kandy SC are currently on course to retain the Dialog inter club League championships after staying unbeaten in the first round of seven matches. (HM)
