When he takes a woman
And she takes a man
they become a unit
In God’s universal plan.
His parents becomes hers
Her parents becomes his,
As they vow to cherish each other
let each however their father & mother.
As time goes by all things grow old
Dear mum and dad both his or hers,
Lapse into a state of tardiness
And lack the strength to do their chores.
He and she feel no sympathy
Their convenience gets priority
Thoughts take sway to put parents away
“It’s the best way” with surpressed guilt they say.
Abandoned in a homeless home,
Treated kindly but feel alone,
Old familiar things are seen no more,
The end times of “old lives” become a bore.
