The Old Girls’ Association of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Maligakanda in Colombo organized its netball tournament for the fourth consecutive year at the school ground recently. Players from four houses Meththa, Karuna, Muditha and Upekkha participated.
In the final were Meththa and Upekkha and Meththa House became the champions. Captain of the champion team Shiromi Wijeratne received the main award from distinguished old girl Rohini Yapa while the captain of the runners-up house Nadee Kumarage received the award from Inoka Gallege. The Best Player of the tournament was Meththa House’s Udeni Nissanka who received her award from Advisor of the OGA Ruchira Yapa Abeywardena while the Best Shooter’s award went to Metthta House’s Jayanthi Upendra presented by Udayangani Senaratne.
OGA Vice Presidents Manjula de Silva, Inoka Gallege, Secretary Nadee Tharange and members were also present at the awards ceremony.
