A cultural festival organized by the Divisional Secretary’s Office in Akkaraipattu, sponsored by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Cultural Affairs, was held recently under the patronage of Ampara Addl. District Secretary K.Vimalanathan at the DS office auditorium.
It was presided by the Akkaraipattu Divisional Secretary A.M. Abdul Latheef.
Ampara Addl. District Secretary K.Vimalanathan, Ampara District Secretariat Chief Internal Auditor M. I. M. Musthafa, Akkaraipattu Addl. Planning Director A.M.Thameem, Ampara District Secretariat Cultural Officer T.M.Rinzan, Cultural Development Officer S.Kokulathas and Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Department Development Officer M.H.M.Mukthar were present at the festival.
The Divisional Secretariat presented the special award and several young and old achievers were honoured at the event.
The Akkaraipattu Cultural Centre Promotional Officer I.L.Rizwan delivered the welcome address and the Akkaraipattu Cultural Officer A.M.Thowfeek delivered the vote of thanks at the occasion.
