Electric wire stolen from the flyover in the Siribopura area in Hambantota was recovered by officials of the Hambantota office of the Wildlife Department.
The recovery was made while it was being melted. Two suspects fled the scene when confronted by Wildlife officials.
The officials informed the Hambantota police regarding the incident. A suspect had left behind a wallet containing an NIC and the police are on the trail of the suspects.
