The Cultural Department, functioning under the Eastern Province Education Ministry, conducted a three-day Tamil Literary Festival - 2017 in Kalmunai recently.
The ceremony was presided by the Eastern Province Cultural Department Director, Sivapiriya Vilvaretnam. The Department presented the ‘Viththakar’ award, and several achievers were honoured, with prizes and mementos. Cultural events were also staged by students.
