Sachith Peiris, music director, playback singer and video director, launched his latest music video last month which features the American pop and classical singer Casey Breves who recently sang with Adele at the Radio city Music Hall.
“Never Stop Moving” is the name of the song with the lyrics written by the well recognised rapper, singer and songwriter, Ashanthi de Alwis. The lyrics ideally suited the powerful and evocative imagery of Sri Lankan places and pastimes filmed in the visuals, that no doubt will create a storm in our music industry.
The video brings to life blazing trails of Sri Lanka, and flying through the air – in short, it is all about journey and the importance of never stopping. Thus, the video launch was ideally and officially sponsored by CEAT Kelani Holdings and as the Deputy General Manager, Bishri Latiff said, “the title and theme of the music video was so aligned to what we are about and we did not need convincing to support the production.” Casey Breves has made many appearances in America, Europe and Asia and also sang with the Grammy Award ensemble Chanticleer for three years from 2010-2013, and since then has been recording originals, pop covers and releasing videos on YouTube.
If you are wondering “how do I view the video?” you can do so on YouTube, Facebook and Google and it is also expected to be telecast over our channels as well.
‘Never Stop Moving’ is unusual in visual and music content and according to Sachith Peiris he hopes that the exciting visuals created by Chamath Hansaka who was the Director of Photography and his Production coordinator, Yashinka Silva will generate greater interest in what Sri Lanka has to offer Sri Lankans as well as to tourists.
In the words of the song :-
You needed a trail
We helped you blaze it
All the roads
We helped you make it
You needed an adventure
We took you there......
