Veteran photographer Lal Hegoda will hold a photography exhibition named Solasak Ru (Sixteen photographs) at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery from June 23 to 25.
Hegoda has been a teacher of photography for 47 years and has held photography exhibitions since 1971, in Sri Lanka and overseas. He has also written several books on photography, and poetry.
Hegoda says through this exhibition of 16 photographs he would look at a myriad of sad and happy memories of his life. “During this life, society has treated me justly and unjustly. Once I was hurt. Then I was consoled. There were unexpected ecstasies too. So I share my many feelings with society through this collection of photographs,” he says.
