Nippon PaintsLanka, one of the island’s largest paint manufacturers wasadjudged the Gold Award Winner at the recently held National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2016, an annual competition conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) to recognizelocal business enterprises for their excellence. They also aim to encourage Sri Lankan organizations to position the country as one that has excellently managed organizationswhich make it attractive for joint ventures, investments, and as a source for products and services.

Nippon Paint was recognized in two specific areas and secured the two gold awards in the Large Category and the Manufacturing category. The evaluation criteria and model consistedof eight perspectives:Leadership, Corporate Governance, Capacity Building, Performance Management, Local and Global Market Reach, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability, and Business and Financial Results.
