Five years in the music industry and Roshan Anuruddha is proud that he has released six audio CDs and two video cassettes; which have been well received by music lovers. His latest CD carries another of his originals Ma Madi Pinkeruva.
The themes of his songs, he claims, are all based on social issues, subjects not often brought to light in the songs so far composed and recorded by singers. Music has been in Roshan’s veins ever since he was a young boy and he nursed dreams of recording his CDs containing his originals. Now, he is determined in his music career to do something different. For instance, compose songs on the plight of street children who do not know what tomorrow would bring them.
When asked to comment on the present music scene, Roshan was of the opinion that there is a lot of talent in the country, but sadly, people don’t attach much importance to talent and musical expertise, but are more interested in earning money and more money. ‘As for me’ says Roshan, ‘I want to do something worthwhile and give of my best to the industry.’
