Established in 2003, the Company initially supported the internal Bajaj operations, which included the importation, clearance, and transportation of 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers, along with distribution and warehousing of finished goods and spare parts across island-wide locations. Over the years DPL has evolved into a premier logistics and supply chain management solutions provider in Sri Lanka.
With a rich portfolio of services spanning Transportation, Warehouse Management, Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Consultancy & Project Logistics, and Document Management and archiving, the Company prides itself on its customer-centric approach and unwavering commitment to excellence. DPL also introduced Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to its warehouse operations, in collaboration with D P Infotech (Private) Ltd, the Group’s IT arm. The Introduction of RPA to repetitive processes within the warehouse has increased efficiency and streamlined the release of goods and vehicles while reducing dependency on human intervention.
Despite DPL commencing freight forwarding relatively recently, they were honored with a merit award at the Freight Forwarder Large Company Category at the National Logistics Awards 2022.
