Prasad Silva the talented paddler who has represented Sri Lanka was named Best Table Tennis Player at the National Sports Games which concluded yesterday at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The table tennis events were held at the Kandy Municipality Indoor Stadium and Prasad who is employed at Emjay International at Teldeniya entered the Games performing well at both the Nationals and Mercantile meets while he also had the opportunity to perform at international meets.
“I think I have a long way to go and I am very keen to continue in this sport and my aim is to be the National champion very soon and bring honour to the country,” said Prasad.
He married Dewmini Weerasena who is also a TT player and success at the National Sports Games was memorable for him after entering wedlock.
“TT is my passion and Dewmini and I hope to continue in it for as long as we can,” said Prasad.
