Abdul Kayoom won a gold medal and Raizul Haq a silver medal in Kumite and also won bronze medals in Karate at the 19th BKC Open International Karate Championship held in Malaysia recently.
Hailing from Kandy they took part in the Championship where some 20 countries participated.
They fought well against exponents from Malaysia and Indonesia among other countries.
