Chairman Nadeera Super, S. Nadeera Nuwan Kumara Fernando commenced his business during the economic crisis last year to ensure a smooth flow of essential items for the public in the area.

He won the customers’ attraction within two years by providing them with all types of dry food and refrigerated food at a concessionary rate equal to Colombo prices.

“This was my success story and now I plan to open more outlets this year and create a chain where I would also be able to provide employment opportunities to less-privileged youth in the area. This award is also a recognition by customers of the trust they place in our supermarket,” he said. He paid a tribute to his parents, S. Sumathi Fernando and A. B. Chandralatha who paved the way for him to enter the business field.
