Amused Group Sri Lanka corporate office launched

The Amused Group, a leading global software company, inaugurated its state-of-the-art office complex on July 4. Located on level 24 of the prestigious Mireka Tower, this ultra-modern facility marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion and growth in Sri Lanka. High Commissioner of Australia, Paul Stephens was the guest of honour.

Noah Rose, the Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Miss Ali Hinton Chief People Officer were the chief guests. Their presence underscored the importance of this occasion for the Amused Group and highlighted the strong ties between Australia and Sri Lanka.

The High Commissioner of Australia, expressed his admiration for the Amused Group’s accomplishments and expressed his gratitude to the Amused Group for providing him with the opportunity to attend the launch event and congratulated the group on the inauguration of their new office in Colombo.

The Ambassador acknowledged the impressive growth of the Amused Group on a global scale and emphasized the potential for growth within Sri Lanka.

Stephens highlighted the positive transformation of Sri Lanka’s economic environment, stating, “It is heartening to witness Sri Lanka emerging from past crises and establishing a more stable economic environment.”

The High Commissioner commended the Amused Group for recognising this progress and choosing to expand their operations in Sri Lanka.

While acknowledging the importance of stability, the Ambassador emphasized the need for Sri Lanka to focus on developing new sectors beyond maintaining growth. Specifically, he stressed the significance of the Information Technology (IT) sector and encouraged diversification into industries with existing strengths in exports and services. The Ambassador underlined the abundance of educated and skilled individuals in Sri Lanka, highlighting the Amused Group’s recognition of this potential and their decision to launch operations in the country.

Stephens expressed his gratitude to the Amused Group for their confidence in Sri Lanka and their investment in the country’s future.

He emphasised the positive impact that the Amused Group’s expansion to Sri Lanka would have on fostering bilateral relationships and creating opportunities for technological collaboration.
