Kandy beat Colombo South

Kandy Under-19 beat Colombo South Under-19 by 108 runs and Galle Under-19 beat Dambulla Under-19 by two wickets in their Youth League fixtures yesterday.

At Pallekele:

Kandy U-19: 260 (Thisara Ekanayake 74, Pulindu Perera 42, Rahal Amarasinghe 42, Dinuka Tennakoon 26 n.o., Tharana Wimaladarma 26, Sahan Mihira 4/80, Vishen Helambage 3/40)

Royal rout Vidyartha

Royal College once again produced a try avalanche and trounced Vidyartha College by 47 points to 3 in their Dialog schools rugby encounter played at the Royal Sports Complex yesterday.

Royal scored seven tries and converted six of them.

The scores at half time were 33-nil in favour of Royal.


Zahira win 24-8

Zahira College came out strongly once again and defeated Science College by 24 points to 8 in their Dialog Schools rugby encounter played at Maradana yesterday.

Zahira scored four tries to collect a bonus point and had two coversions.

Science College replied with a try and a penalty only.
