Aussies set for big lead in Ashes Test

Australia took their lead to 314 over England at lunch on the fourth day of their second Ashes cricket Test being played at Lord’s in London yesterday.

Having taken a 91 runs lead on the first innings after making 416 and restricting England to 325, Australia piled up the runs in the first session of the fourth day’s play as Usman Khawaja made 77.

Steve Smith batted best for Australia in their first innings with 110 as Australia lead the five-match series 1-0.

Australia: 416 (David Warner 66, Steven Smith 110, Travis Head 77, Ollie Robinson 3/100, J. Tongue 3/98) and 223/5 at lunch (Usman Khawaja 77)

England: 325 (Ben Duckett 98, M. Starc 3/88)
