Spain is one of the fastest recovery markets for Sri Lanka Tourism after the pandemic. The Spanish market is in focus this year considering market trends and increases in the popularity of Sri Lanka after the pandemic.
This fam trip was organised as a part of Sri Lanka Tourism’s strategy to promote and market Sri Lanka as a preferred destination in the Spanish Market. As it is under the European market, Spain can be a crucial destination to bring an influx of tourists to Sri Lanka, given the necessary promotion and recognition. Spain has also been included in the top 12 markets during the month of April.
Sri Lanka Tourism has another activity in the pipeline for the Spanish market this year, including the travel agent familiarisation trip which is to take place soon.
