Fitch Ratings has affirmed Sri Lanka-based footwear and tyre manufacturer and retailer DSI Samson Group (Pvt) Limited’s (DSG) National Long-Term Rating at ‘AA(lka)’. The Outlook is Stable.
The affirmation and Stable Outlook reflect Fitch’s belief that DSG has sufficient rating headroom to navigate the weak demand and intensifying competition in its key end-markets.
“Import restrictions on domestic tyres and footwear have largely eased while low-cost products flooding the European market will pressure DSG’s exports.”
