More squash titles for Ravindu, Fathoum

Sri Lanka’s leading squash players Ravindu Laksiri and Fathoum Issadeen emerged men’s and women’s singles champions respectively at the Yeti Open Squash Championship held at the Air Force Squash Complex at Ratmalana.

PGTLM Ratnatunga of Navy SC clinched the men’s Novices championship while the promising VR Walpola from the Kotelawala Defence Academy captured the women’s Novices title.

SM Cader won the men’s over-55 and over-50 championships while the experienced DE de Silva took the men’s over-35 title.

Other champions are:

Boys: U-19: Nevindu Lakman (DS Senanayake College)

U-17: Matheesha Wijesekara (Royal College).

U-15: Tharul Pinwatta (Royal College).

U-13: Manuth Dassanayake (Gateway College).

U-11: Akayne Konara (S. Thomas’, Mt. Lavinia).

U-9: Renuk Mendis (Gateway College).

U-19: Shenaya Siriwardana (Gateway College).

U-17: Adithi Gunasekara (Ladies’ College).

U-15: Nethmi Wickramasinghe (Ladies’ College).

U-13: Ifara Shasmin (St. Paul’s Girls’ School).

U-11: Chanumi Thebuwana (Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya).

U-9: Thimalee Daswatte (Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya).
